Proud sponsor Firemen Dakar Team 2021

In 2021, Kenbri will again be the proud main sponsor of the Dutch Firemen Dakar Team. With their new IVECO Powerstar, they will participate in the famous Dakar Rally from 3 to 15 January, which will be held in Saudi Arabia just like last year.

Burning love

Owner, team captain and driver of the Firemen Dakar team is Richard de Groot. He was part of the voluntary fire brigade in Hillegom for 14 years. About the collaboration with Kenbri Fire Fighting he says: "We are very proud and happy that Kenbri and the Firemen Dakar team have joined forces again this year. Of course these are strange times and that is why it is very important that you stay together and support each other as business partners. Kenbri and the Firemen Dakar team is a match made in heaven. This year, again, you cannot ignore our collaboration. Our new IVECO Powerstar truck is red, flaming and immersed in the Kenbri look and feel."

Safe progress

"Of course it's always dangerous to express expectations, especially at a Dakar Rally," says De Groot about the ambition and forecast of the Firemen team for the 43rd edition of the Dakar Rally. "There are risks behind every stone. Our new trailer, our new 8x8 service truck, our developed hospitality truck and - last but not least - the IVECO Powertstar. Mark Laan as the new navigator, our marketing and media man Remco. Every decision we make is based on safe progress. When you participate in this 'game', stagnation is decline. We insist that a top 10 position is within reach. We won't call it out loud, that's not our style, but like a jackass we will surprise our competition. The team motto is: winning is a mindgame. And that is nowhere less true than at the world's toughest 12-day rally event: the Dakar Rally."
